In a heart-stopping incident, a two-year-old girl miraculously survived a fall from the 13th-floor balcony

Thane, India – In a heart-stopping incident, a two-year-old girl miraculously survived a fall from the 13th-floor balcony of a high-rise building in Dombivli, thanks to the courage and quick reflexes of a passerby. The incident, which occurred last week in the Devichapada locality, was caught on video and has since gone viral on social media, earning widespread praise for the man hailed as a real-life hero.

The toddler slipped while playing on the balcony of her 13th-floor flat and was seen precariously hanging at the edge before falling. Bhavesh Mhatre, a local resident who happened to be passing by, noticed the child in danger and immediately sprang into action. Though he was unable to fully catch the child, his swift intervention broke the fall, significantly reducing the impact and saving the child’s life.

Witnesses described the incident as terrifying but praised Mhatre’s selfless and heroic act. “He didn’t think twice. He ran forward with determination and managed to save her. If he hadn’t acted, the consequences could have been devastating,” an eyewitness shared.

The child sustained only minor injuries, according to civic officials. “It’s nothing short of a miracle. She has escaped a tragic fate thanks to this brave man,” one official said.

When speaking to reporters, Mhatre downplayed his heroism, saying, “There is no religion greater than courage and humanity. I did what anyone should do in such a situation.”

Social media erupted with praise for Mhatre, with many calling him an inspiration and a true hero. The local civic body has announced plans to honor Mhatre publicly for his bravery.

This extraordinary act of humanity serves as a reminder of the power of courage and compassion in moments of crisis.
