Hyderabad: In a decisive move against land encroachment, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi took a strong stance on Monday, addressing the unauthorized occupation of 2,000 square yards of public land located behind the Jubilee Hills police station.
During her site inspection, the Mayor, accompanied by GHMC officials, discovered that the encroached land was being used for vegetable cultivation without prior authorization. She expressed her dissatisfaction and vowed strict action against such illegal activities.
Immediate Action Ordered
Taking swift measures, Mayor Vijayalakshmi directed GHMC officials to clear the encroached premises immediately. She emphasized the use of necessary machinery to ensure that the land was restored to its original state by the end of the day.
“The encroachment of public land is a serious violation and will not be tolerated under any circumstances. We will take stringent actions to deter such activities and safeguard public property,” the Mayor stated during the inspection.
