The power shutdown is part of an ongoing effort to upgrade and maintain the city’s power infrastructure, which directly impacts water supply systems.

Advisory for Residents

The HMWS&SB has advised residents in the affected areas to store sufficient water in advance and use it judiciously during the shutdown period. Normal water supply is expected to resume once power is restored.

Citywide Impact

While the power shutdown is temporary, it highlights the dependency of Hyderabad’s water supply system on electricity infrastructure. The maintenance work is expected to enhance the efficiency and reliability of power distribution, ultimately ensuring better service in the long run.

Residents facing any water-related issues during this period can reach out to HMWS&SB’s customer service helpline for further assistance.
