Education Department Adjusts Schedule to Support Fasting Students
Hyderabad: The School Education Department has announced a revision in the timings for the upcoming Class X pre-final exams, taking into consideration the ongoing holy month of Ramzan. The exams, initially scheduled from 1:15 PM to 4:15 PM, will now take place between 12:15 PM and 3:15 PM. This change will be effective for all exams held between March 6 and March 15, 2025.
Updated Exam Schedule
The revised timetable for the exams is as follows:
- March 6 – First Language
- March 7 – Second Language
- March 10 – Third Language
- March 11 – Mathematics
- March 12 – Physical Science
- March 13 – Biological Science
- March 15 – Social Studies
Mid-Day Meal Adjustments
To accommodate students who are fasting, government and local body schools have been directed to serve the mid-day meal before the revised exam start time of 12:15 PM. This initiative aims to support students’ well-being while ensuring they remain focused during their exams.
Education Authorities to Ensure Smooth Conduct
The School Education Department has instructed Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Education Officers (DEOs) to oversee the implementation of the revised schedule. Authorities are expected to coordinate with schools, ensuring proper exam arrangements and meal provisions.
This move underscores the department’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive academic environment, allowing students to observe their religious practices while maintaining their academic performance.
