Hyderabad: A late-night joyride turned fatal for three teenagers on the newly inaugurated Aramgarh flyover, marking its first reported accident. The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday when the speeding two-wheeler they were riding lost control and crashed into a streetlight pole and the divider.

The victims, identified as 14-year-old Maaz, 16-year-old Imran, and 14-year-old Ahmed, were residents of Hyderabad’s Old City. According to the Attapur police, the teenagers were riding toward Aramgarh between 12:30 am and 1:00 am when the accident took place.

Maaz died on the spot, while Imran and Ahmed succumbed to their injuries while being transported to the hospital.

Investigation Underway

Following the tragic incident, authorities registered a case and initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. Preliminary reports suggest that overspeeding may have been a contributing factor.

The bodies were sent for postmortem at Osmania Hospital and later handed over to their grieving families. AIMIM Bahadurpura MLA, along with party workers, visited the hospital to offer condolences and support to the bereaved families.

Final Rites Performed

Later in the evening, the deceased were laid to rest after Namaz-e-Asar, with family members, friends, and local community members mourning the untimely loss.
