Auction Alert: Telangana Government to Auction Plots and Flats in City, Check Key Details

Hyderabad: The Telangana government is set to auction flats, plots, and independent houses across Hyderabad and other districts, aiming to generate at least Rs 2,000 crore in revenue. The funds raised from the auction will be utilized for the Indiramma housing scheme, a key initiative to provide affordable housing to the underprivileged.

Auction to Include Legally Dispute-Free Properties

The properties, belonging to the Rajiv Swagruha Corporation, will be legally dispute-free, ensuring a transparent and smooth bidding process. The state government has already conducted a thorough assessment of these assets through three dedicated committees overseeing properties under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), and other districts. These committees have submitted their pricing recommendations to the government.

Locations and Details of Properties

The auction will include a mix of flats, open plots, and unfinished multi-story towers in prime and developing areas.

Flats for Sale

• 760 flats are available, with:
  • 159 flats in Bandlaguda
  • 601 flats in Pocharam

Open Plots

• 1,342 open plots, covering approximately 350 acres, are available in:
  • Chandanagar
  • Kundanapally
  • Kawadaipally
  • Kurmalguda
  • Bahadurpally
  • Gajularamaram
  • Gadwal
  • Allapur
  • Thorrur

Unfinished Multi-Story Towers

• 36 unfinished multi-story towers will also be part of the auction, offering an opportunity for developers and investors.

Boost to Real Estate and Government Revenues

The large-scale auction is expected to attract real estate developers, investors, and homebuyers, providing them with properties in strategic locations. It will also help the government monetize idle assets while addressing the demand for housing in the state.
