Hyderabad is set to witness the inauguration of another crucial infrastructure project—the Amberpet flyover. This long-awaited four-lane flyover aims to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity in the city.

Amberpet Flyover to Enhance Traffic Flow

The 1.5-kilometer-long flyover, which begins near Golnaka and ends at Purnodaya Colony, near MCH Quarters, is expected to significantly enhance traffic movement, particularly for commuters entering Hyderabad from the Warangal Highway. By reducing congestion in the Amberpet area, the flyover will cut down travel time and provide a smoother commuting experience.

Cost and Project Timeline

The total cost of the project stands at Rs 450 crore, with Rs 300 crore allocated for land acquisition. The project was initially approved in 2018, but construction began only in 2021. Though it was originally slated for completion in 2023, delays pushed the finalization to this year.

Inauguration by CM Revanth Reddy

With all construction work completed, the flyover is now set to be inaugurated soon by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The opening of this infrastructure project marks another milestone in Hyderabad’s urban development, offering relief to thousands of daily commuters.

As Hyderabad continues to expand, such projects play a vital role in managing traffic and improving road infrastructure across the city.
